COVID policy: No self-isolation is required, and all regulations for SARS-CoV-2 testing required before entering to Vietnam temporarily suspended since May, 2022.
HOW TO GET TO HOTEL FROM AIRPORT:
You can either take a taxi directly outside the Airport or book some types of pick-up service such as Grab or private businesses. The cost is around 400,000 to 500,000 VND (approximately of 20USD). For those who need pick up from Airport, London Hotel and Western Hanoi Hotel provides the service with the fee charged for one direction is 500,000VND (approximately of 20USD) and will be included to your bill.
INTERNET CONNECTION
Internet access is free in your room and in the meeting room. You will be provided with username and password.
COMMUNICATION & CURRENCY
You can buy Vietnam simcard in the airport or hotel. A number of shops at A1 or A2 Arrival gates in Noi Bai International Airport offers simcard on cheap price 5-7 USD. At present, the exchange rate is approximately 1 USD = 24,85 VND. Please note that almost all transaction in Hanoi requires the use of local currency. Make sure you have enough VND (Vietnam dong) to perform daily transaction. You can make exchange in airport or in the hotel. In special case, you can contact our staffs for assistance. Nonetheless, credit card is widely accepted and you may need to ask about their acceptance beforehand.
WEATHER
November is the best time to visit Hanoi with the average temperature between 19OC to 26OC. It usually has sunshine and no rain. But it is useful to take with you light-warm clothes.
TOURISM
Hanoi is a capital city of Vietnam with many tourism places such as Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, Museum of ethnography etc… It only takes you 15-20 minutes by meter taxi from VNU campus to visit these places.

Ha Long Bay is located in Quang Ninh Province, northeast of Vietnam, with an area of 1,553 km² including 1,969 islands, of which 989 islands have been given names. Ha Long Bay was recognized twice by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site in 1994 and 2000 with the value of natural landscape and geology and geomorphology.
The Trang An Landscape Complex (Trang An) is a mixed cultural and natural property contained mostly within three protected areas; the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the Trang An-Tam Coc-Bich Dong Scenic Landscape, and the Hoa Lu Special-Use Forest.
